European Poetry Festival 2022 : June 15th to July 9th

The biggest single cohesive event program I’ve ever curated, which is something as I’m nearing 600 events organised since 2010. It is hard to some up how intense, generous, warm hearted, seething and generative it was. A huge amount of friends surrounded me, as I was organising this alone. One of the grandest celebrations of European poetry ever to take place in the UK. Over 1000 people witnessed 14 events over 3 weeks in the summer of 2022. Over 150 poets visited from across our continent, presenting new collaborations with British-based poets. It was an unforgettable, energised and groundbreaking celebration of literary liveness and cross-linguistic collective inventiveness.
